# Service Fees

In order to help HackerHouse run smoothly and to cover the service fees we provide, such as user support, we charge a service fee when a reservation is confirmed.

The owner service charge is calculated from the total amount of the reservation (before fees and taxes) and is automatically deducted from the amount paid to the owner.

VAT on service charges

Depending on the applicable regulations, VAT may be applied to owner and resident service fees. if so, this VAT is included directly in the service fee.
